Cellular services briefly suspended and Security to be tightened in Sindh

Mobile or cell phone network services are decided to be blocked and briefly suspended along the routes where 9th and 10th Muharram processions will be taking place in Sindh.

The Sindh government has decided to take the step forward like it is done every year for following a strict and serious security program and as a preventive measure to avoid alarming or alerting situations.

Moreover to avoid traffic blocks. Three days route plan and a traffic guide are planned by the concerned authorities which are to be commenced from today, the 8th of September till the 10th of September.

In order to maintain law and order and to avoid unpredictable incidents, there will too be a ban on pillion riding as the security is already tightened for the days. The main roads of Karachi city that will be unavailable for a usual traffic routine and will be sealed include, the M.A. Jinnah Road and Saddar (Regal) and Kharadar and the areas adjoining these main spots.

The government too announced the days as a public holiday as the firms, schools and institutes will remain closed and the shops will all be shut down for the day.
