Deepika Padukone has been on a sabbatical from films after the release of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmaavat’ in which she essayed the titular role of ‘Rani Padmavati’. However, the recent buzz is that Deepika is all set to co-produce her next project with the ‘Raazi’ director Meghna Gulzar.
Reports suggest that the two have met on various occasions and have decided to collaborate. Reportedly, the film is based on an acid attack survivor named Lakshmi Agarwal, who was attacked by a man after she rejected her proposal. After the incident, Lakshmi went on to start her own NGO in order to help other acid victims, if reports are to be believed.
The film is said to go on floors in February, however, nothing has been confirmed as of now. As per a report, Deepika will be co-producing the film along with Meghna Gulzar. Currently, Gulzar is said to be gearing up for a film on Sam Manekshaw and will be co-producing it too. Reportedly, Deepika Padukone has set up a production house that will be associated with interesting and content-driven films.
Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh will reportedly tie the knot in November. The couple’s pre-wedding festivities will begin 10 days before the wedding with a puja in Bengaluru. The wedding will take place in Italy, as per reports.
