‘Police 4 U’ mobile app launched in Karachi

The Sindh Police on Monday formally inaugurated a new mobile application to facilitate the people of southeastern Pakistani province.

Additional Inspector General of Police (AIGP) Karachi, Dr Ameer Ahmed Sheikh and other senior officers of Sindh Police attended the launching ceremony in Karachi.

The mobile application, ‘Police 4 U‘, can be downloaded from Google App Playstore. People can use this application to register their complaint immediately.

The AIGP, addressing the gathering, said the application is launched to facilitate the people through the latest technology.

Also, he added, the police department has started the Victim Support Service.

Another mobile application would also be launched soon to lodge complaints against the police, he further informed.

Dr Ameer Ahmed was of the view that the recent mobile application would not only help change the ‘thana culture’ but would also improve the police performance.

People can also use the Whatsapp number (0317-7116601) for registration of their complaints, he shared.
