Pakistan hits back, shoots down two Indian jets captures one pilot

In response to India’s violation of Pakistani airspace once again, Pakistan Air Force shot down two Indian Air Force (IAF) jets on Wednesday, one of which crashed in Pakistan while the other in Indian occupied Kashmir.

Director General ISPR Major General Asif Ghafoor confirmed that in response to PAF strikes this morning, as released by Ministry of Foreign Affairs, IAF crossed Line of Control today again. PAF were quick to defend the airspace as it shot down two Indian aircrafts inside Pakistani airspace.

He confirmed that one of the aircraft fell inside Azad Jammu and Kashmir while other fell inside Indian occupied Kashmir. One Indian pilot has been arrested by the troops on ground in Pakistan while two in the area.

“In response to PAF strikes this morning as released by MoFA, IAF crossed LOC. PAF shot down two Indian aircrafts inside Pakistani airspace. One of the aircraft fell inside AJ&K while other fell inside IOK. One Indian pilot arrested by troops on ground while two in the area,” a Pakisani military spokesman said.

Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor, the director general (DG) of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), confirmed the action, adding that “in response to PAF strikes this morning as released by MoFA, IAF [Indian Air Force] crossed LoC.”
