What Pakistan achieved after boycotting OIC meeting?

After 50 years, Pakistan boycotts OIC meeting over India’s presence as a guest of honor.

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) held its 46th session of the Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM) which took place on 2nd March, 2019 in UAE. After 50 years, Pakistan boycotts OIC meeting over India’s presence as a guest of honor and ongoing “war tensions” between India and Pakistan. Following this attempt Turkey, Iran & Qatar also boycotted the meeting.

In the meeting, OIC criticized India’s role in the Kashmir crisis.

Making references to:
“Intensified Indian barbarities” in Indian-occupied Kashmir (IoK), persistent violation of Pakistani airspace and illegal detentions in the state of IoK,

The resolution was later responded by the Indian spokesperson, who stated that:
“The issue remains internal to India”.

Pakistan’s position in OIC is as a founding member, that’s why they chose not to attend the CFM meeting for the sake of protecting its credibility.
Pakistan achieved following diplomatic achievements after boycotting OIC meeting in United Arab Emirates (UAE):

1. The OIC chief called upon the Indian government to stop using brute force against the Kashmiri people.

2. OIC chief emphasized on dialogue as a resolution for India & Pakistan war tensions.

3. OIC endorsed Pakistan’s stance in Kashmir
4. Pakistan’s stance and credibility is getting strengthened
5. OIC appreciated Pakistan’s PM Imran Khan’s steps taken as a peace gesture and for regional peace.
