6 tips for nailing the at-home blow dry

Blow drying is not easy, it a work of art and not everyone can do it.

The way a hairdresser does a client’s head and expertly crafts bounce, shine, and volume with just a round brush is truly mesmerizing. Thankfully, we are going to tell you how to get that perfect saloon like blow dry at home with easy steps.

1: Preparation is the key to achieve: Start with hair wash and follow with conditioner, dry them with towel and apply hair serum in limited amount.

2: Mousse is a must: Before your hair dry’s out apply mousse, because it gives hold and will put volume in your hair. First starts on the ends, and works your way in to the crown and roots, but makes sure not to put too much in the front face-framing pieces of hair.

3: Start blow drying with the front pieces of hair: While people typically leave the front pieces until the end, You should start with them to get the most polished result. Make sure to section off the hair first bottom layer, mid layer, and top layer with the front pieces left out.

4: Always angle the hair dryer downward: Use round brush and direct the hair down because that’s what’s going to make it shine and smooth it, keep the nozzle an inch away and trail the brush.

6: Finish with hairspray: Get a consistent mist at least a foot away from the hair. Don’t spray it too close, or do little spritzes because then you’ll end up with some parts too sticky and flatten the blow-out.
