Shoaib Akhtar slammed Sarfaraz Ahmed and we feel it was a little rude

Pakistan’s meek surrender in their match against West Indies hasn’t gone down well with former pacer Shoaib Akhtar and the bowler who was known to send shivers down the spine of opposition batsmen with his pace has ripped apart skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed and called him one of the most unfit cricketers in this generation.

Shoaib called him ‘unfit’. “When Sarfaraz Ahmed came for the toss, his stomach was sticking out and his face was so fat. He’s the first captain I’ve seen who is so unfit. He’s not able to move across and he’s struggling with wicket-keeping,” Sadiq tweeted.

Writing “Speechless” himself, Akhtar then tweeted: “Ok the match is over. Recollecting my thoughts and emotions. We have to back these boys, they are representing our nation. They need our support throughout the World Cup,” he said.

Sarfaraz Ahmed has been under the pump as Pakistan have been winless in their last 11 ODIs. On Friday, the 1992 champions got off to a horror start as they were bundled out for 105 in just 21.4 over. Chris Gayle went berserk as West Indies gunned down the total in just 13.4 overs.

Pakistan had left out senior campaigner Shoaib Malik and his absence was felt as they collapsed without anyone offering resistance. Sarfaraz Ahmed’s men were undone by a barrage of bouncers.

Akhtar also lashed out at Pakistan’s team selection and apparent lack of intent from the team in their World Cup opener: “I am not able to understand the team selection as well. They kept Shoaib Malik out. I think Pakistan needs to focus. Please look interested. I am very disheartened. At least look interested.”
