The company’s latest design is not for athletes, their new Nike Air Zoom Pulse shoes are designed for doctors, nurses and home health providers who are on their feet all day. This new design was revealed in early November and is aimed at “everyday heroes” like doctors and nurses.
Nike explained the idea behind the concept of the variant that, nurses, for example, walk approximately four to five miles and sit for less than an hour during the course of a 12-hour shift. Now This reported that, Nike stated later on, furthermore the press release stated that “The work is physically and mentally demanding. The design for the Air Zoom Pulse tackles those challenges with simplicity in mind.”
According to Now This news, to help healthcare providers save time putting them on, the shoes are lace-less and instead have elastic straps. They’re also easy to clean with synthetic polyurethane-coated material. To properly test out the design, Nike put the shoes to the test at a pediatrician facility in Portland Oregon.
The manufacturer highlighted the attributes such as the design confronts a range of medical-worker-specific challenges, the company further elaborated adding that the shoe must be comfortable for long stretches of standing and versatile enough to support the hurried movements required in emergency situations.
