Do you want to go back in time and shed a few years? Do want to keep your youthful skin intact?

Ageing is not only about wrinkles but as you age you will see spots, freckles and deep lines on your face. With time you might also develop crows feet; deep lines around your eyes. You also tend to have jowls; sagging of the jaw muscles and tissues.

Youthful skin can be achieved with some positive steps which can make your golden years healthier. Process of anti-ageing starts when you are in your late 20’s and early 30’s which be slowed down with a healthy lifestyle and a skincare regime.

How to slow down ageing?

Learn to say no to calories!

Doctors suggest to include yellow and purple coloured fruits and vegetables instead of red meat and fattening foods. Addition of beans, legumes, nuts, whole grains and dairy products in your diet provides you with all the nutrients. For protein, you can add fish and eggs in your diet once or twice in a week. Add coconut and fresh juices every day as well to keep that skin moisturized and hydrated

Exercise regularly

It is important to exercise on a daily basis for at least 30 minutes. Exercising helps to get your heart rate up, improving the blood circulation which helps to deliver oxygen and nutrients to the skin. This promotes collagen production and growth of new skin cells which keep it glowing and help with anti-ageing.

Maintain a healthy lifestyle

Keep yourself hydrated at all times! Drink at least 2-3 litres of water for healthy functioning of your body. Compromising on your sleep hours affect your skin as well. Therefore, it is necessary to not work late hours and sleep well. Smoking also affects your skin, therefore, it should not be a part of your lifestyle if you are working for a healthy-looking skin

Skin Care Regime

The last, but the most important step is to follow a skincare regime starting from your 20’s. For this regime, you need to identify your skin and choose products accordingly. The main steps are cleansing, exfoliate, tone, massage and moisturise. Also, don’t forget to add sunblock to this skincare regime, it is the best investment you will ever make! Try to avoid any chemicals on your skin instead of opting for natural and herbal ingredients.

Your skin reacts the way you handle it! Rubbing your face with your hands and tissue will end up with fine lines on your face. Therefore, always dab the product on your skin! When you are massaging your skin keep it gentle with strokes going upwards. Don’t be harsh on the skin around your eyes, use your ring finger in an upward motion to avoid puffiness and fine lines

If you are in your 20’s you should start right away because the earlier you start the better it is!
