Hasan Khan’s claim to being cast in Sushant Singh’s biopic denied by Amazon Prime

The ongoing case of Sushant Singh Rajput has been taking over the headlines. Fans from all over the world are waiting for the case to be solved. The young 34-year-old actor was found dead at his home in Bandra, Mumbai. According to the last hearing in the Supreme Court, the case has been handed over to CBI.

While the investigation is still ongoing with every day a new discovery. A Pakistani actor, Hasan Khan claims to have been selected for Sushtans biopic movie. The young actor posted this on his Instagram profile which made headlines at several local publications. On the other hand, the Indian media was unaware of any such development.

This news was all over Indian media as well, however, it is to be considered that the Indian government has placed a ban on Pakistani talent working with any Indian production for three years. Later, Amazon also said “It’s all in the air right now. No idea why he (Hasan Khan) tweeted about playing Sushant Singh Rajput.”

The actor later edited his post changing that the project was for Indian web instead of Amazon. Several Indian filmmakers announced their movies regarding SSR’s death and his life. However, a recent article also posted that “A lot of people want to make films on Sushant and hence wanted to register titles. We have asked them to first take a NOC from the family before making the film,” Indian Motion Pictures Producers’ Association secretary Anil Nagrath.

It’s unlikely that the actors family would be comfortable with the idea of a biopic being made on SSR. Since the case is still unsolved and the family remains in agony desperately waiting for the answer they have been looking for.

Later,  Hasan informed a local entertainment portal Galaxy Lollywood that the project he was being cast in was a short film directed by a Pakistani director, Mohammad Mussavir and produced by an Indian producer Raj Gupta. He also mentioned that this film was supposed to come on Amazon Prime but due to backlash from SSR fans the movie will be released on the channel Imperfect Movies, owned by Raj Gupta.
