Atif Aslam lands in trouble as the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has issued an income tax notice against him over an alleged tax evasion.
According to the reports, a Rs.85 million notice was issued by FBR to the Aadat singer on Wednesday. During an income tax audit, it was discovered that Atif Aslam, for the year of 2018, did not mention the Dubai flats he owned in his annual statement.
On the matter, the FBR took action and summoned him over tax evasion.
It is worthy to note that the Tajdar-e-Haram singer was on the FBR’s radar in 2013 as well. He was served with a notice of Rs.170 million at that time.
Last month, the FBR launched an investigation into the income records of renowned music maestro Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. FBI was asked to assist in the investigation and provide the singer’s travel history for the last six years.
