Babar Azam has Announced the T20 Worldcup Squad

The wait is nearly over!
The mother of all cricket matches is about to begin as India and Pakistan prepare for their much-anticipated ICC T20 World Cup 2021 match, which will take place on Sunday (October 24) in Dubai International Stadium.

The Pakistan cricket team has revealed their roster for their game against India in this year’s T20 World Cup, which is being held in the UAE and Oman, amid tremendous hoopla and significant media attention for the all-important ICC World T20 campaign opener for both Asian powers.

While Pakistan skipper Babar Azam has showed trust in experienced all-rounder Shoaib Malik over the likes of former captain and wicketkeeper-batter Sarfaraz Ahmed in his final 12, he informed the media that Pakistan deemed their strongest XI to face India on Sunday.

“Sarfaraz is a talented spinner who is confident in his ability to play against India.”
However, we examined the ideal XI for this match since Shoaib Malik also plays extremely well with spin.
That’s why we chose this final 12,” Azam remarked during a virtual media session ahead of what may be the greatest World Cup T20I in international cricket history.

Sarfaraz Ahmed was the last Pakistan captain to lead his team to a significant success, defeating Virat Kohli’s Indian squad in the 2017 Champions Trophy final.
It appears that the tables have shifted, and he will not be part of the main team against India tomorrow night.

In response to Pakistan’s poor record against India, which has seen them lose 12 ODIs and T20Is, the 27-year-old skipper said:

“It is critical to keep things simple and to adhere to the fundamentals.”
We shouldn’t dwell on the past too much.
“We are quite optimistic about the event and the next matches,” Azam stated.

Furthermore, Azam elaborated on the primary strengths of this Pakistani team, which will face Team India, one of the favourites to win the ICC World T20 2021 tournament:

“Our hitting is our key strength.”
I am certain that our batsmen will perform similarly to how they have been playing over the previous few months in the game against India.”
