One level of ambition and desire for success can be beneficial in motivating individuals to work hard and achieve their goals, excessive greed can become a curse that causes individuals to prioritise their own self-interest over the needs and well being of others. One of the main reasons why greed is often viewed as a curse is because it can lead individuals to engage in unethical and immoral behaviour. When people become overly focused on accumulating wealth or achieving success, they may be willing to engage in actions that are harmful to others, such as lying, cheating, or stealing. In extreme cases, this can lead to criminal activity, corruption and exploitation of others. Greed can also have a negative impact on society as a whole. When individuals prioritise their own self interest over the needs of others, they may engaged in behaviours that harm the environment.
