People keep telling us to eat healthy and to exercise for a healthy life but what they miss is that a healthy life is not possible without a healthy mind. If you eat clean and healthy, eat your proteins, fibers, greens, do your workouts and exercise daily sans giving peace to your mind, you can never attain a healthy body. This is because your body reacts according to your mind.
Even if you have eaten a stomach full of a healthy meal but your mind is elsewhere or you are overthinking / feeling low, you will feel that your energy is draining and you will be unable to perform well. The best brain food you can give to yourself is to have a clear mind at all times. The best detox you can have is to stop overthinking and start thinking positive. For some, meditation works and for others, going for a run or spending sometime alone may help.
If you only work and thrive towards a healthy body it is going to go down at some point because eventually you will find your strength and energy dying down. But if you work towards a peaceful mind and successfully are able to achieve it, you will notice a drastic change in yourself and your personality. A healthy mind would not only make you energized and active but it would also make you feel happy and content at all times. It is necessary to work on your peace and serenity as much as you work on getting a muscular or fit body. Without a healthy mind, a healthy body would take you nowhere.
