At last, the Amazon rainforest welcomes rain!

After a great fire, parts of the Amazon rainforest now experience rain. It’s a good sign signifying rebirth and hope. The rainforest, also known as “the planet’s lungs” was blazing from a few weeks until yesterday when the rain started.

The Amazon is located in Brazil and extends into Columbia, Peru, Venezuela, and other South American countries. It is the world’s largest tropical rainforest and a home to millions of plants and animals. Recently, it caught fire that burnt more than half of the forest.

The reason of fire is still not known. Many people are blaming the President of Brazil, Jair Bolsonaro for deliberately putting the forest on fire for personal interests, while others say that the dry climate caused the fire.

Whatever the reason is, it was quite alarming for the whole world because the forest produces about 20 percent of the world’s oxygen. The fire was so severe that the clouds of smoke obstructed the sun. As a result, Sao Paulo plunged into darkness.

Many tribes and firefighters were in a constant struggle to control the fire, but they failed. And fortunately, it rained. Typically, it rains far less in dry weather in Amazon but this time its help from God that put an end to raging fires.
