BOL News CEO Shoaib Ahmed Shaikh has said that Axact was the only company responsible for 82 percent of the IT exports in Pakistan, as out of $432 million, Axact was behind $355 million IT exports. “We have said this several times and we are open to question on it,” he said.
Pointing towards false cases against Axact, he said the current state of the economy is due to the ill-treatment of those who bring investment to Pakistan.
Furthermore, Shoaib Shaikh said the false cases were lodged against Axact, one of the largest IT companies in the world. He said no evidence was found against the company and the prosecutor had also said that no crime was committed. “They could not find even a single person in the entire world who could claim of being defrauded by the company,” he said.
He said bail is granted on personal guarantee in a fraud case but the authorities dragged the case for over 18 months and reached no conclusion. He said fake cases were lodged, bank accounts were seized and even cases were registered against his familymembers. He said 11 judges did ‘not before me’ in the case, andextended it to one and a half years. “At one time, the verdict was announced in our favour, but the decision that came after two hours said ‘not before me’.
Shoaib Shaikh said there is one enemy behind the conspiracies against Arshad Sharif, Imran Riaz, Sami Ibrahim and PTI chairman Imran Khan.
“Arshad Sharif was the pioneer of true journalism. He did notshy away from sacrificing his life,” he said, adding the memorial is just a small gesture to honour the renowned journalist, who resides in his heart. He said the monument would be unveiled by mother of the anchorperson.
The Bol News CEO vowed to remain steadfast in the face of adversity and said those who are on the right track and do not cower down face such false cases.
“We don’t do business, we do true journalism,” he stated. He said Bol Network was being targeted but this is the difference between them and others.
