Buffaloes block PM Imran’s route, owner slapped with hefty fine

A man whose buffaloes blocked the Prime Minister Imran Khan’s route in the federal capital has been fined with Rs 260,000.

A notice of the animals obstructing traffic along the prime minister’s route from Bani Gala and Korang Nullah was first taken by the forester appointed in Environmental Regional.

Reports in local media suggest the environment department of Islamabad Metropolitan Corporation (IMC) then imposed the fine on the owner for violating forest rules and destroying plants.

The authorities also confiscated 15 buffaloes and put them in the Maweshi Phatak (Islamabad Cow Mandi) adjacent to Rawal Dam, the UrduPoint said in a report.

DailyPakistan, however, could not verify the report independently.

This story will be updated in case of more as new detail emerge.
