Ayyan Ali, after failing to appear before the court, after several orders issued, has now been declared a proclaimed offender by a customs court in Rawalpindi.
Dismissing appeals filed by the model’s counsel to grant her some more time to appear before the court, a non bailable arrest warrant has been issued against Ayyan and her transferable and non-transferable assets have been ordered to be seized.
In March 2015, Ayyan Ali, was arrested by the Airport Security Force (ASF) at the Benazir International Airport for allegedly trying to smuggle $506,800 in cash to the UAE. Ayyan spent four months in the Adiala Jail and was placed on the Exit Control List.
Being granted a bail in July 2016, Ayyan flew to Dubai and still hasn’t returned.
