Defense day is being observed today on 6th September’19. This day marks the dauntless contributions of defense services provided by Pakistan’s military forces back in 1965 war with India.
On the occasion of Defense Day 6th September, this year Pakistan is also observing Kashmir Solidarity Day to restate the support of nation to IO Kashmir and to commemorate the sacrifices made.
Chief of Army Staff, General Qamar Bajwa addressing the defense day event at General headquarters in Rawalpindi assured that Pakistan Army is all set to go to any extent to safeguard the people of Kashmir and their freedom. He enunciated and voiced out serious concerns regarding the prevailing situation in Indian occupied Kashmir.
General Bajwa reaffirmed that Pakistan would never leave people of Kashmir alone at the mercy of forced and illegal situation imposed on them by Indian government.
He also exclaimed that “Pakistan’s armed forces have not and will not refrain from any sacrifice for the defense of the motherland”.
He added, “A peaceful, strong and prosperous Pakistan is our destination and we are steadfastly moving towards it.”
He pointed Kashmir as an unresolved agenda of the completion of Pakistan and this will remain so until the dispute is resolved in accordance with the aspirations of people of Kashmir.
General Bajwa also commended the Pakistan’s military force and their efforts to promote regional peace and stability in the country. He mentioned Afghanistan as a reference and said Pakistan has strived for peace and stability before and will continue these efforts in future as well!
