Shehbaz Sharif assumed the office at a time when economy is at a verge of breaking, foreign relations are poor & the country has lost all hope. One of the most important & major shortfalls of PTI is that they failed to deliver and fulfil most of their promises especially related to the economy, good governance, eradicating corruption and providing jobs. Just because they failed to lead the country in an effective manner and major governance issues came about, especially in Punjab, a need was felt to change the government.
Previously, present day Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif served as Chief Minister of Punjab where he served and earned a name for himself. He gained a lot of respect and built a reputation for himself. He should prioritise in improving governance and will benefit as he has experience from the past.
There are changes and steps to be taken in foreign policy & while he has outlined some sound foreign policy objectives. However, there are other things that he will focus on for now as running the country given the current political environment will present some very different challenges.
