Elizabeth Banks believes there is a need for more female voices!

Charlie’s Angels star Elizabeth Banks, who reportedly had very high hopes from her film’s opening was let down when the film under performed on its opening night.

Sharing her views about the film’s opening performance in a recent interview, Banks shared her views about why women’s dominant films like Charlie’s Angels under-performed on the box office.

Stating that men preferred to see those woman-dominated films like the superhero movies because they belonged to a male comic book genre, “They’ll go and see a comic book movie with Wonder Woman and Captain Marvel because that’s a male genre,” stated Banks.

Adding further, the actress stated, “So even though those are movies about women, they put them in the context of feeding the larger comic book world, so it’s all about, yes, you’re watching a Wonder Woman movie but we’re setting up three other characters or we’re setting up Justice League.”

Elizabeth Banks has nothing against the superhero films performing well at the box office but the actress indeed believes that there is a need for more female voices in the box office and those voices to be supported by money because that is where the power is.
