The award show has been embroiled in controversy, as in the past few weeks, celebrities nominated for a win have dropped out, including model Eman Suleman, the brand Generation and actor Meesha Shafi.
Those who have boycotted the show say they will not share the stage will an alleged sexual harasser.
Unilever Pakistan, which hosts the awards show, defended its decision to let the show go on, stating, in a press release, that the “nominations for the Lux Style Awards are decided by an independent Jury of industry peers and critics.”
