‘Game of Thrones’ star, Kristofer Hivju, tests positive for coronavirus

The latest one to join the growing list of ailing celebrities is Game of Thrones’ Tormund.

Norwegian actor Kristofer Hivju took to Instagram to announce that he has tested positive for coronavirus. He also mentioned that him and his family are currently in self-isolation.

“Sorry to say that I, today, have tested positive for COVID-19, Corona virus. My family and I are self-isolating at home for as long as it takes. We are in good health. I only have mild symptoms of a cold,” he announced, updating fans on his condition.

He then went on to acknowledge the heightened risk to other people who may have a more “devastating diagnosis”, and urged people to practice caution. “Wash your hands, keep 1.5 meters distance from others, go in quarantine; just do everything you can to stop the virus from spreading.”

“Together we can fight this virus and avert a crisis at our hospitals. Please take care of each other, keep your distance, and stay healthy!” he added.

Kristofer was one of two celebrities to announce their diagnosis online yesterday – the other one being Pacific Rim star Idris Elba. So far, Tom Hanks, wife Rita Wilson, Quantum of Solace actor Olga Kurylenko, and actor Matthew Broderick’s sister have also tested positive for COVID-19 in Hollywood.
