Ghar Se Kamai Ka Mauqa Ab Hai on foodpanda!!

The Coronavirus pandemic has forced all of us into self-quarantine. The situation is financially troubling for many. Fortunately, foodpanda has once again stepped in to save the day by introducing an innovative way for pro-chefs, cooking enthusiasts and stay-at-home moms to turn their hobby into a way of generating revenue.

The “foodpanda Homechefs” initiative allows all those with the skills to create tasty dishes that satisfy hunger pangs to take it to a professional level. So far, more than 1000 home chefs from 18 cities across Pakistan have registered for the program. foodpanda is delivering an average of 3,000+ home cooked meals everyday with almost 200,000+ mouth-watering dishes dispatched to customers so far.

All it takes is a few taps in the app and customers can have fresh ghar ka khana delivered at their doorstep within 30 minutes!

This initiative is an economic opportunity for families facing financial challenges especially during this pandemic. At present, foodpanda is the only source of income for 40% of their homechefs. The company aims to ensure that every kitchen keeps running during these tough times, which is why the program is looking to employ almost 100,000 homechefs and provide them ghar se kamai ka asaan mauqa!

foodpanda hasn’t forgotten the real warriors either with over 750 fresh home-cooked meals prepared by MOM-heroes delivered to frontline workers – heroes that work, day and night for our safety during this global pandemic.

Moreover, Foodpanda has initiated a PKR 2.4 million project with the Government of Punjab’s ‘Skill Development Fund’ and USAID to train, onboard & empower 50 underprivileged women as Foodpanda home chefs. The project has been completed through 4 training sessions in 6 cities across the country.

In this time of crisis & uncertainty it’s refreshing to see @foodpanda_pk take #GharKaKhana to another level by enabling #1lachomechefs to turn their passion for cooking into an earning opportunity! #BanJaofoodpandaHomeChef & register on https://t.co/FNARi19VjC
