The number of novel coronavirus cases in Pakistan has witnessed a very sharp rise in the past few days. Six deaths have already been reported in the country and people are being urged more than ever by health and medical professionals to self isolate themselves and stay at home.
Amidst the increase in coronavirus cases in Sindh, provincial education minister Saeed Ghani has fallen victim to the highly-contagious disease as well. The minister tested positive for COVID19 today and has gone into self isolation as he did not experience any symptoms of the disease.
Following Saeed Ghani’s self isolation, Governor Sindh, Imran Ismail too announced that he would be self isolating himself as he had been working with Ghani in close proximity on corona.
“After @saeedghani1 tested positive for corona, I have decided to isolate myself for 24hrs pending results of my test, as I was in a meeting on corona with him in close proximity. Stay safe. Allah Kareem,” wrote Imran on his Twitter.

While the governor will work from isolation, Imran also urged everyone who met him in the last few days to get themselves checked as well.

Colleagues from PTI and otherwise have been sending best wishes Ismail’s way. Here’s hoping the governor tests negative for the contagious disease.
Meanwhile, stay home, stay safe everyone.
