Greta Thunberg meets her role model Malala at the Oxford!

Teen climate activist Greta Thunberg on Tuesday has met the Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai at the University of Oxford and once again made into international news.

The meeting of these young activists was shared with the world as they posed for a photo together.

Thunberg, 17, who is in the United Kingdom to join a school strike in Bristol on Friday, took to social media sharing the photos with a caption that says, “So… today I met my role model. What else can I say?”, while tagging Malala.

Malala also took to social media to respond to the compliment she received from the teen activist. The 22-year-old posted a photo on Instagram of herself and Thunberg sitting on a bench with a caption, saying, “Thank you, @gretathunberg”, with a heart emoji.

While on twitter, Malala said She’s the only friend I’d skip school for.

 

Both of these two young women are known for their activism for climate change and women’s education.

As being reported, they met to discuss their activism at Lady Margaret Hall, Malala’s Oxford college. Thunberg also talked to some of the students about climate change and protest.

The college’s master, Alan Rusbridger, posted a group photo featuring Thunberg on his own Instagram and Twitter, with a caption saying, “Honoured to host @gretathunberg at @lmhoxford today. grateful she found time to talk to some of our students about science, voting, the limits of protest, divestment, real zero v net zero, and much more”.
