HBO has released trailer for its upcoming series Watchmen and its amazing.
The new trailer, which aired on Sept. 13, features scenes of vigilantes including Regina King’s character, Angela Abar, living double lives as normal people by day and secret combatants by night.
All the while, law enforcement is on the hunt for a cult of people with inkblot masks who appear to be cooking up some serious trouble with the help of Jeremy Irons, who’s playing Adrian Veidt/Ozymandias.
The series is inspired by Alan Moore’s 1986 postmodern comic book of the same name. The cast includes King, Irons, Hong Chau, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Tim Blake Nelson, and Tom Mison, among other talented actors.
HBO’s show will take place after the events of the comic and is set in a world where superheroes are treated as outlaws rather than comrades.
