Heavy showers are still expected in Karachi for two days

Karachi has been blessed with heavy rain this monsoon season after a really long time. This season, after a week’s break from the rain, more rain showers are expected in the city for today and tomorrow. Major areas of Karachi have been facing rainfall yesterday and the areas already are flooded moreover the consequences have been serious too.

While many can’t figure out how to cope up with the consequences of rain some are overwhelmed by the unexpected beautiful weather of Karachi. According to Pakistan’s Meteorological Department, more stormy rains are predicted in the city for today, tomorrow and also on the weekend. 50 mm rain is however expected to fall here making the people already facing trouble worried. This session will start from noon and early evening time and will continue for two days.

Karachiites are requested to take the following preventive measures to avoid any mishaps:

  • Maintain a proper distance from electric poles, hanging power wires or lines.
  • Avoid ringing doorbells.
  • Stay safe in houses and avoid going out unnecessarily on bikes or cars as the roads are prone to get flooded quickly
  • Keep the windows or doors of houses sealed to keep the water out.

Moreover to avoid the negative consequences declaration of rain emergency in hospitals and clinics has been announced by the Mayor of Karachi, Waseem Akhter so that any health emergency issue can be dealt first and is on priority.

Karachiites are requested to stay updated regarding the conditions and alarmed of the preventive measures for safety and health security too.
