Hindu community living in Pakistan and across the globe is all set to celebrate their Festival of colours Holi to be held on Thursday.

Holi welcomes the spring season with all its traditions and myths by the Hindu community.

Prime Minister Imran Khan also wished the Hindu community on Holi.

 

“Wishing our Hindu community a very happy and peaceful Holi, the festival of colours,”

This year, Pakistan Hindu Council (PHC) unanimously passed a resolution against Indian aggression and vowed to support the brave Pakistan Army in defending the motherland.

Talking to APP, Dr Ramesh Kumar said the festival of colours rejuvenate the spirit of fun, freedom, love, respect and happiness to blend myths with religion for promoting harmony.

Felicitating the Hindu community on their festival of colours Holi, he said the festival that welcomes spring, brings joy, festivity and happiness for all sections of the society and promotes celebration among all communities.

Holi is celebrated in the areas of Hindu majority while in Pakistan the Hindu minority also celebrate this with a play of colours in their communities and also burn logs of wood to symbolize the victory of good over evil and observe Holi Pooja

The members of Hindu community throw colours blended in water, powdered colours and splash colour filled balloons to fill the atmosphere with the joy of festivity while it is also the first major festival of Hindus in the year.
