Hug in a mug – Winter Edition


Winters are all about cosy nights, warm drinks, just feel right! Nothing more that I could want than to read a good book, curled up on the couch with a nice soothing hot drink. 

Here are my top 4 go to drinks. 

Cinammon Tea:

Simply boil cinnamon sticks in water and sweeten with some honey to drink a cup full of goodness. You can add just a tad but of ginger for zing. 

Lemon Ginger Tonic:

The perfect cure for those runny noses and sore throats! 

Turmeric Latte:

A drink we all know as “haldi doodh” and love. This golden cup of goodness is made with milk, turmeric and honey, boil them over medium heat and add just a sprinkle of coffee (Great both ways)

Hot Chocolate: 

Boil some milk in a saucepan over low heat. I prefer whole milk as it allows the hot chocolate to be thick and creamy.  Add sugar and cocoa powder to the boiling milk and stir. Once the milk is slightly warm, add in chocolate chips and stir them in followed by a splash of vanilla extract. Top with whipped cream and dark chocolate shavings. Voila! Your drink is ready and it’s nothing less than a warm hug! Yummy.
