Iconic actor Zaheen Tahira was admitted to a private hospital after suffering a major cardiac arrest, industry insiders, as well as some artists, said late Sunday night.
Imran Abbas, the Ae Dil Hai Mushkil star, tweeted: “The Legendary Actress Zaheen Tahira admitted in Agha Khan Hospital due to serious heart attack.
“And She Needs Our Prayers As She Is On Ventilator. Please Pray for her recovery,” he added.
The 70-year-old actor was put on the ventilator after the heart attack.
Tahira, who entered the entertainment industry in the mid-60s, is one of the most beloved actresses of Pakistan. The veteran star has worked in the same profession for decades in various lead roles in over 700 dramas.
Actors, models, and others from Pakistan’s showbiz industry came together after the news surfaced to send her love and prayers, pray for her recovery, and urge people to do the same.
