“This morning I tested positive for Covid 19. I feel okay, I have no symptoms so far but have been isolated since I found out about my possible exposure to the virus. Stay home people and be pragmatic. I will keep you updated on how I’m doing. No panic,” read the caption.
In the little over two minute clip, he said he had displayed no symptoms but got tested because he found out he had been exposed to someone who had the virus.
“Look, this is serious,” he said, appearing next to his wife, Sabrina, who he said was doing fine. “Now is the time to really think about social distancing, washing your hands.”
He added, “We live in a divided world right now – we can all feel it. It’s been bulls**t. But now is the time for solidarity, now is the time for thinking about each other.”
The English star joins a list of celebrities who have tested positive recently, including Tom Hanks, his wife, Rita Wilson and former Bond girl Olga Kurylenko.
