Social media in this day and age is a huge part of our daily lives. As entertaining as it may seem it has it’s own dangers, It can really take a toll on our mental health.Especially Adolescents, multiple studies have found that a vast use of social media can lead to depression,anxiety, loneliness, self-harm, and even suicidal thoughts. Social media can promote negative thoughts about your life. People alway seem to have a perfect life on social media which may make others feel like they’re doing something wrong or their life is a mess.
Influencers on social media mostly only show the good parts of their day and their luxurious life style, and don’t show the hard or difficult parts. This projects a pressure on everyone to be perfect and have a luxurious life style and when people fail to do that it makes them fall into depression.
