Juggan Kazim impelled everyone to stop body-shaming

The popular actress and TV host, Juggan Kazim was recently spotted on Instagram sharing her experience regarding something serious that she faced by people. Because of receiving heart-breaking and harsh comments of people she was forced to share this with everyone in order to stop more negativity that others do face.

Sharing her experience, she uncomfortably revealed that she was expecting a child, and due to her freedom of privacy she didn’t take it to social media to reveal the news. During that time she received horrible comments regarding her weight from a woman only who used disrespectful comments against her to body shame her. The saddening experience continues when she later revealed that she lost her child and due to that she gained a lot of weight too. Well, she strongly, continued to work and still, people couldn’t stop commenting on her weight not realizing what she must be facing at that time.

A humble request!!! Until a few days ago, I was pregnant. For some reason, I gained a lot of weight really really quickly. What shocked me was how much I started getting fat shamed. One lady said “lagta hai Lahore ki hawa laag gaye tumhain”. Other women just told me bluntly that I had become a bit too “healthy.” Till now, I wasn’t ready to share that I was expecting a baby because my pregnancies have generally been precarious. Last week I had a miscarriage. My doctor has now told me that this time it was quite serious and that there had been a lot of internal bleeding. I took a day off to mourn but then went back to work because, well, what else does one do? And the day after I resumed work, somebody again commented on how I was looking “extra healthy.” We need to stop fat shaming other people. People who are overweight know they are overweight. Their weight gain may be for any number of reasons, some desirable and some not. Yes, some people need to be encouraged to lead a more active lifestyle. But unless you are somebody’s mother or sister, don’t tell them what you think of their body. Life is short. Let’s try and live ours with kindness.

We fail to understand what provokes the minds of people to interfere in other’s lives and dishearten them with their toxic minds. I hope people understand through her message that ‘we really need to stop body-shaming people’. This is just not the right as people need to educated enough and encouraged to stop intervening in other’s issues by disregarding them more. People really need to understand that there is more to life and a lot to do in this world than flooding negativity through nasty comments and stereotypes. Live and let live is the best one can follow!

We are proud to see Juggan stand up for others too and for starting a move that needed to be done to avoid such situations that one cannot possibly deal with. More power to you!
