Karachi Anti-Encroachment Drive to target ‘Car Showrooms’ now!

KARACHI: It is now being observed that the Karachi Anti-Encroachment drive is now targeting car showrooms around the city.

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah expressed his deep disappointment and displeasure because car showroom owners have used the public roads and service lanes for personal parking which has increased the problems of drivers from travelling through that road.

The areas visited included Tariq Road, Khalid Bin Waleed Road,  Shahrah-e-Quaideen, Shaheed-e-Millat, Khudadad Colony and Saddar.

The CM had even called DIG Traffic and Commissioner Karachi to complain about how these showrooms are illegally using the roads and service lanes for personal use.

THESE ROADS ARE IMPORTANT IN TERMS OF TRAFFIC FLOW AND HOW THEY DARE TO PARK THEIR VEHICLE ON THEM, – THE CHIEF MINISTER QUESTIONED

He also then took the DIG with him to several locations to show him how the owners were marketing their vehicles by making it difficult for passengers who are traveling using those roads.
