Authorities have imposed a mini-lockdown in Karachi’s District Central areas of Gulshan-e-Iqbal and Jamshed Town, from the 18th to the 30th of December.
Areas in Gulshan-e-Iqbal include Civic Centre, Dalmia, PIB, Gulshan 5, Pehelwan Goth, Jamali Colony, Esa Nagri, Gulzar-e-Hijri, Safoora Colony and Faisal Cantonment, whereas areas in Jamshed Town include Akhtar Colony, Azam Basti, Mehmoodabad, Manzoor Colony, Garden East, Soldier Bazar, Jamshaid Quarters and PECHS.
Masks are now mandatory and businesses except Kiryana, pharmaceutical stores and the likes, will be closed.
Only one person from each household is permitted to leave the house to purchase food and medicines, and is required show their CNIC to law enforcement officers and pillion riding is banned!
Yesterday, authorities announced a lockdown in District West and Keamari as well.
