Load Wedding wins Viewer’s Choice Award at Indian Film Festival

Load Wedding has won special viewer’s choice award for the best international feature film at the Rajasthan International Film Festival 2019. The event was held from January 19 to January 23.

Load Wedding was a film which combined fun, entertainment and social message together in great proportions. The film talked about the vices of dowry and being a widow in a society like ours. Load Wedding is directed by Nabeel Qureshi and produced by Fizza Ali Meerza. The film stars Fahad Mustafa, Mehwish Hayat and Samina Peerzada in lead roles. It revolves around Punjabi man played by Fahad Mustafa (Raja) living in a small town and in love with Mehwish Hayat aka Meeru since childhood. Here comes the challenge for their love story – they can’t marry before Raja’s elder sister Baby is married. While baby struggles with weight loss and body shaming, Meeru pressures Raja for marriage and finally rejecting him for a delay.

This was informed by the film’s lead actress Mehwish Hayat in an Instagram post. The actress said that Load Wedding won the award against quite tough competition from around the world.

“It is a great honour that our film, “Load Wedding” picked up the Viewer’s Choice Award at the Rajasthan International Film Festival against some very stiff competition from around the world,” she wrote.

Load Wedding will have its World TV Premiere on Geo Entertainment on the February 16.
