Rawalpindi Police arrested a local religious preacher, Molvi Liaquat, for raping a twelve-year-old student on Friday. The victim went to Makki Masjid for his Quran Lesson.
Molvi Liaquat was a Quran teacher of the twelve year old minor boy. There has been no story found on behalf of the frightened child however, he is safe with his parents for the meanwhile. The only statement received from the boy was that he was raped by the molvi when he went to learn Quran.
Police later confirmed that Maulana Saifullah was picked up immediately following the teen’s statements, confessing that he had raped the boy. Further investigation into the incident in underway.
