The famous Pakistani song, made eternal by the late Junaid Jamshed, was penned down by another legend, an eminent Urdu and Punjabi poet, Nisar Nasik, has passed away after prolonged illness at the age of 76 in Rawalpindi.
He is known for writing the song ‘Dil Dil Pakistan’ that became popular all over the world and is considered as one of the best patriotic songs of Pakistan.
Although he had been suffering from mild blindness as well as amnesia in his last days, it is said that Nisar Nasik thoroughly remembered his most iconic song, that sky rocketed Vital Signs to success.
Nisar Nasik wrote books and a number of songs for films and television. He also remained associated with Radio Pakistan for a long time. He was also awarded with a life time achievement award for his services in literature.
