Pakistan to become member of SCO Youth Council

Surpassing India and Bangladesh, Pakistan is going to become the first country in the region to secure membership of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Youth Council.

“Pakistan is going to achieve this distinction as it aims to focus on socio-political empowerment of its youth by announcing, for the first time in its national history, prestigious National Youth Council comprising of outstanding youth from all across the country,” said Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Youth Affairs Muhammad Usman Dar after a meeting with Additional Secretary Ministry of Foreign Affairs Zahoor Ahmed on Wednesday.

Dar also expressed the hope that this achievement would greatly benefit our youth by giving them exposure to the best international opportunities aimed at socio-economic development of youth.
