Pakistan is very rapidly embracing the impacts of climate change which pose a threat to the ecology of the country. For this reason, environmentalists and activists gear up for nationwide climate march, which is going to start this September.
September 20th is going to observe events nationwide, with walks in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar, Multan, Quetta, Kotli, Mardan, Gilgit, Turbat, Gawadar and some other cities. All praise goes to the Environmental Conservation Organization for raising this serious concern.
The purpose behind this walk is to declare a climate emergency and demand climate action now! This will also spread awareness among people therefore, everyone is urged to join hands with the environmentalists and be a part of this walk.
In Karachi, the walk will start from Frere Hall. In Islamabad, people with gather at Islamabad Press Club and in Lahore, the event will begin from Lahore Press Club.
Do not think! Be a part of this march for the sake of protecting our country from air pollution, water pollution, deforestation, improper sanitation, and other critical issues which are the causes of climate change.
