Pakistan’s military chief, General Qamar Javed Bajwa was welcomed by 21-gun salute during his visit to Pentagon, however, the US forces honored Pakistan’s flag as well through the gesture.
The highlight of Prime Minister Imran Khan’s visit to the US was his meeting with President Donald Trump, however, the military chief also had crucial engagement in the tour, one of the most important of which was his Pentagon visit.
During the visit, the military chief was accorded guard of honor after he was received by Chairman Joint Chief of Staff General Joseph F. Dunford.
The ceremonial gun salute was to honor the Pakistani flag as the national anthem was played and when Pakistan’s military chief was being accorded guard of honor, the honor guard was holding the Pakistani flag alone.
It was to honor the “ national flag” of foreign state (????????), hence the national anthem was played. Honor Guard is holding ???????? flag alone.
