The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has revoked the No Objection Certificate (NOC) granted to fast bowler Mohammad Hasnain and instructed him to return to the country immediately.
Hasnain, 19, has been playing for the Shahrukh Khan-owned Trinbago Knight Riders in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL).
The young speedster had been given the NOC for the entire CPL season by the PCB, even though the board has made it mandatory for the national players to take part in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy.
The board had seemed determined to make the domestic tournament star-studded by disallowing even the likes of Babar Azam to extends his stay with Somerset.
However, Hasnain had quietly been allowed to skip the QeA opener even though he has been named in the Sindh squad.
The PCB has had to react after the news of purported special treatment for Hasnain was reported in the media. His NOC has since been cancelled and ordered to report back to the board as soon as possible.
