PEACE COMES FROM WITHIN

Peace is a state of our mind. Its absence can put a lot of things at risk. It is a sense of calm that comes from within specially in moments of gratitude. When a person has attained peace, it becomes easier for him to respect others and the differences they have with them.

Peace should always be real and never faked. When peace is faked just to cope up with people it becomes really difficult to connect to your own self, let alone others. If you are angry and you need to attain peace, instead of lashing it out, stay put and try to understand the feeling of anger. Once you are able to understand that feeling, you will be able to overcome that. Same goes for the feelings of sorrow, grief, distress, anxiety and everything else that keeps you restless or puts you in a position of misery, mentally and emotionally. It is necessary to give yourself some time of quietness to reflect upon these feelings and to get to the core of them because that is the only thing that would help you overcome these emotions in the longer run.

If you want the world to be a better, a more peaceful place, you have to start from yourself. Peace cannot be practiced by force, it can only be achieved by understanding what your heart holds within. With that being said; the first step to a peaceful life is understanding and coming to terms with your own feelings; through the storms you are dealing within and beyond, so that you are able to process them into peace as you move along.

“Cultivate virtue in yourself and virtue will be real.

Cultivate virtue in the family and virtue will flourish.

Cultivate virtue in the village and virtue will spread.

Cultivate virtue in the nation and virtue will be abundant.

Cultivate virtue in the world and virtue will triumph everywhere.”
