People thwart armed attack at mosque during Tarawih prayers in London

People thwarted an armed attack at London’s Seven Kings Mosque during the Tarawih prayers.

According to media reports, armed police were deployed after a gunman opened fire and tried to enter into the mosque in Ilford on Thursday night.

The Scotland Yard said that search for the armed man is underway.

According to an eyewitness, an armed masked man shot fire out the mosque and managed to escape after people started gathering there.

However, there are no injuries or damage were caused and the incident is not being treated as terrorism-related.
