Prime Minister Imran Khan has strongly condemned the terrorist attack in New Zealand on Friday morning.
In a tweet the premier said that our prayers are with the berieved families whose’ nears and dears have been killed in the attack.
Shocked and strongly condemn the Christchurch, New Zealand, terrorist attack on mosques. This reaffirms what we have always maintained: that terrorism does not have a religion. Prayers go to the victims and their families.

In another tweet Imran Khan wrote: “I blame these increasing terror attacks on the current Islamophobia post-9/11 where Islam & 1.3 bn Muslims have collectively been blamed for any act of terror by a Muslim. This has been done deliberately to also demonize legitimate Muslim political struggles.”

40 people have been confirmed dead and at least 50 got injured after a terrorist attack at two mosques and the main hospital in New Zealand’s east coast city of Christchurch.
According to media reports the terrorist attack took place around 01:40 pm local time on Friday, when armed gunmen entered a mosque in Christchurch and opened fire.
New Zealand’s Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern held a press conference about the terror attack in the country’s east coast city of Christchurch, referring to the incident as “one of New Zealand’s darkest days.”
