PM Imran Khan should step down to end crisis?

In the midst of the country’s ongoing political instability, MNA Najeeb Haroon, a founding member of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), claimed the only way to resolve the turbulence is for Prime Minister Imran Khan to quit. Haroon suggested that the Prime Minister resign and that any other member of the party be appointed as Prime Minister.
“That’s the only way to move on and put an end to this catastrophe,” he said. This standoff, according to the MNA, puts not just the government but also the party in jeopardy. “The country can no longer support instability, and Prime Minister Imran Khan must abandon his obstinacy and choose someone from within the party as Prime Ministerial candidate,” he advised.

Reaffirming his support for the party in the crisis, despite having differences, he said: “I am founding member and conveyed my thinking to the premier in a meeting as well.”

Haroon, like several other MNAs, also distanced himself from the stance taken by federal ministers Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Asad Umar and Fawad Chaudhry who “categorically” stated that there was “no space” for minus-Imran Khan formula.
