Pakistan Telecommunication Authority has ordered users to register both IMEI slots of dual sim mobile phones as per new regulations. Failure to do so will result in blocking of the cell phones. Users are advised to comply to the latest orders by August 31st.
All such mobile device users having more than one SIM/IMEI slot, where one IMEI slot is registered and second slot is not registered, are advised to submit such requests to PTA (typeapproval@pta.gov.pk) before 31st August 2019.

Giving instructions to how users could settle the matter, PTA requested emails to be sent at the following address with required details.

Users can find out about their device’s IMEI by *#06# from their phone and device’s registration status can be found out by sending an SMS to 8484.
