Quebec City—Explore the European side of North America

Famous as the only walled city in North America, Quebec City is a dream come true! This French-speaking city has a strategic location atop steep cliffs that overlook the glorious St. Lawrence River.
The magnificent architecture, the majestic historical buildings and an extraordinary quality of life makes Quebec the most beautiful city in North America. The city is also honored as the UNESCO World Heritage Site, bringing to Canada a part of its richness.

Here are some of the favorite places to visit in Quebec City,

Old Quebec

Stroll around the North America’s oldest streets along the fortified walls surrounding this UNESCO World Heritage Site and admire the most beautiful views. The old Quebec has a number of notable historic sites. Among them Petit-Champlain District, Place Royale, the Plains of Abraham and the Parliament Building are picture worthy!

Haute-Ville

The Old Quebec is divided in two sections—the upper town (Haute-Ville) and lower town (Basse-Ville).

The Upper Town is famous as the religious and administrative centre of the city. It is a home to glorious churches, historic monuments, a defensive Citadel and city’s most emblematic landmarks, like the Château Frontenac and the City Fortifications.

Basse-Ville

The lower town is an absolute must! Narrow streets, gleaming shops, exquisite restaurants and the divine architecture of historic buildings will make you fall in love with the city. This part of the town will make you feel like you have been moved to Europe.

Parc de la Chute-Montmorency

A place for thrill seekers! Located at a 20 mins distance from the downtown, this natural water spring is divine! Parc de la Chute-Montmorency is famous for its 275-foot waterfalls that overhang the Montmorency River; these falls are even higher than the Niagara Falls. The scenic stairway and the bridges offer a breathtaking view of the place and is surely a fix to your adrenaline rush!

Village Vacances Valcartier

This grand and herculean theme park is the largest in Eastern Canada. The park includes a huge outdoor waterpark and an indoor waterpark too, that is open all year around. This is also the largest winter playground of Canada.

Quebec City is a place not to be missed. Include these essentials to your list and enjoy a splendid tour!
