Ali Sethi will be appearing on the big screens in New York City’s Times Square this month as part of an international artist collaboration.
From December 15-21, a video titled Future Tradition celebrating the work of Pulitzer Prize-winning Chinese composer Du Yun and featuring Ali will run twice a day on 13 screens, and 16 times on the day on December 16
Sponsored by the Beijing Century Foundation and Times Square NYC, the video will show a portion of Yun’s 2019 classical performance at New York’s Carnegie Hall with Ali and other artists.
“I feel honoured to be a part of this display,” said Sethi in a statement. “I have always believed in our musical traditions, in their power to win hearts and change minds, and I feel so proud to represent them before the world.”
